Al Jouf is known as an agricultural basket of the Kingdom, among its main wheat and olive producing regions, with large olive farms, presses, packing plants and warehouses. These wide areas mean fences can run long, and security rounds by vehicle are more useful than a single guard post.
Large-scale renewable energy in the Kingdom started in Al Jouf: the Sakaka solar plant at 300 MW and the Dumat Al Jandal wind farm at 400 MW. Sites like these hold valuable equipment, cables and spare parts in open areas, and operation and maintenance firms working there need their yards and stores guarded.
Sakaka is the seat of the regional emirate, with government offices, hospitals, schools and markets. The region also includes the governorates of Qurayyat, Tabarjal and Dumat Al Jandal, each with its own activity. The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) has launched an industrial oasis in Al Jouf, adding small and medium facilities that need organised guarding.
Guarding of the farm gate and warehouses, and patrol vehicle rounds of long fences, with extra cover at harvest.
Guarding of equipment, cable and spare parts yards, a gate log for maintenance firms and night cover seven days a week.
Logging of trucks and suppliers, material gate passes and store guarding outside operating hours.
Female guards at the girls' gate and in women's sections, and visitor logs at government entrances.
Guarding of building sites, equipment and materials, logging of subcontractors, and guard numbers that change with the project phase.
